What’s your view on the impact of Social Housing Regulation on the sector at the end of year two?
Interim findings from campaign group Stop Social Housing Stigma’s national tenant survey have revealed that more than two-thirds of tenants feel stigmatised living in social housing. What steps can we take as a sector to reduce this stigma?
Do you have any insight into why leasehold reform is taking so long? Have developers persuaded government to back-pedal in return for help in meeting their new build targets?
Do you think the PAS9980 criteria is proving to be a good way of assessing the risk to buildings - given that residents are sometimes stuck with unpayable insurance costs even after remediation? Wouldn’t it be better if we demanded the removal of all combustible materials, and funded the work through a polluter pays approach?
